About St. Paddy’s Daddies

Who We Are

St Paddy’s Daddies was born out of a simple desire to have a bit of fun during Manci’s annual St. Patrick’s Day party in May 2019. It all started when nine of us showed up in our Shadow Barons jackets, hitched a ride on a little trailer, and threw beads and trinkets into the crowd just before the band started. It was brief, spontaneous, and an absolute blast. The crowd’s response was overwhelming, and as we made our way back into Manci’s, people were already asking us to start a group. What began as a one-time thing quickly turned into something more.

Our Evolution

With that encouragement, we decided to see where this journey would take us. We officially formed a “Not For Profit Social Organization” as classified by the IRS and began spreading the word. In just a few short months, our membership grew to 50, and today, we’ve had to cap membership at 75, with a small waiting list to join. Our members share a love for fun, camaraderie, and giving back to the community. We host socials where spouses are invited, and we’ve cultivated an incredible group of people who genuinely enjoy each other’s company.

Our Charity Efforts

Our annual golf tournament started as a fun way to gather and enjoy the game, but it quickly became something more meaningful. After considering various options, we chose St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital as our primary beneficiary because, simply put, there’s nothing better than helping children in need. Our first tournament saw about 20 teams and nearly 80 golfers, raising $7,500 for St. Jude. Since then, we’ve continued to grow, and to date, we’ve donated over $70,000 to St. Jude, along with contributions to a few small local charities. As we approach our fifth tournament, we’re aiming to raise another $20,000 or more.

Looking Ahead

We’re currently in the process of becoming a 501(c)(3) organization, a milestone we expect to reach by the 2025 tournament. This classification will allow us to amplify our impact, making our events even more beneficial to St. Jude and other charities we support.

Our Community

None of this would be possible without our incredible donors and volunteers. From swag bags and food to beer, snacks, prizes, and auction items, our donors make our events special. Our volunteers are the backbone of our organization, showing up the day before, during, and after events to ensure everything runs smoothly. We’re proud of what we’ve accomplished together and excited about what the future holds.
